The server is made from Acrylic, which is a type of plastic, commonly known as Perspex. Perspex is actually a brand of acrylic, in the same way that Toyota is a brand of vehicle. Acrylic is made by many manufacturers all over the world, such as Plexiglass or Evonik.
The server has a large footprint, making it very sturdy. Acrylic is quoted as being 17x stronger than glass. Acrylic is used in viewing ports and pressure hulls of submersibles, in windshields for police riot vehicles and as windows around ice hockey rinks due to it's strength and shatterproof properties. It also has excellent UV resistance and excellent light transmission properties.
Due to the thickness of the pre-fabricated sheets, it can only come in clear.
Natural white compliments the product the best, however the LEDs can come in red, blue and green. Currently there is no colour changing version available.
Typically 30,000 to 50,000 hours. If you left the LED unit on 24 hours a day [30,000 hours] that would = 1250 days = 3.5 years.
Mains power is used to power the LEDs. You will be provided with a 220 or 110v power adapter with the server. If you have purchased the rechargeable version, a power adapter for charging the internal batteries will be provided. Do not use any other charger other than the one provided. If it fails, please contact us for a replacement.

1 year from date of purchase. If anything goes wrong during this time we will repair the item for free, replace the unit if we are unable to fix it, or send you a new one depending on your location. T&C's apply.
Collection is free, however as a courier or shipping agent is needed for most products, shipping comes at an additional cost.
After sales FAQ
Generally the best way to clean dirty/dusty acrylic is with warm soapy water and then use a lint-free cloth to dry it. Avoid using window cleaning products (such as Windolene) or solvents as it can cause the acrylic to go hazey or craze [appear cracked]. Be warned: acrylic is prone to scratching so be careful not to use a dirty cloth otherwise you will leave fine scratches on the surface.
Yes it can, however the entire LED bar at the bottom will need to be replaced as it is not possible to replace just the faulty LED. If the product is still within the 1 year guarantee we'll send a replacement part for charge for the LED unit & shipping fee. The server can be turned upside down, and with the use of an alan key, it is easily possible to swap out the faulty LED bar with the new one.
